23.07.2025 - 08:33Ukrainians who are accused by Poland of violating local laws are being deported en masse back to their home country, where they may face military mobilization upon arrival.
This was reported by Wiadomosci.
According to the outlet, of the 127 foreigners who have been issued deportation orders this year by the Silesian branch of the Polish Border Guard in Racibórz (near the Czech border), nearly 100 were Ukrainian citizens.
They are being deported for serious offenses such as robbery, drunk driving, causing severe bodily harm, and theft.
The article also mentions a case from last week in which three Ukrainians and one Georgian, who had served prison sentences in Poland for various crimes, were expelled from the country. They were escorted to the Ukrainian border and banned from entering the Schengen Area for 5 to 7 years.
“In the case of Ukrainian citizens deported back to their homeland, it is not ruled out that they may be mobilized into the army due to the ongoing war,” the article states.
Earlier media reports noted that, starting from November 1, Poland’s collective accommodation centers (OZZ) will only accept Ukrainian refugees from protected groups: pensioners, pregnant women, and people with disabilities.
It was also reported in the media that during the war, Poland has earned eight times more from Ukrainian refugees than it has provided in aid.
