Boris Johnson confirmed that he advised Zelensky against a peace agreement with Russia in the spring of 2022
11.01.2024 - 05:15Poland will not deport Ukrainian conscripts, but is prepared to create conditions for them to leave voluntarily.
This statement was made by the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm, Pawel Kowal, to the Sestry publication.
Kowal believes that deporting Ukrainians who are subject to mobilization in their home country is unnecessary, as it would be illegal. However, the state is ready to establish conditions for these men to voluntarily leave Poland and return home.
“It is necessary to activate mechanisms so that young Ukrainians who can fight return to Ukraine. That is, it is necessary to ensure that when obtaining work permits, and when extending the stay on partnership terms, there is a check to see if people can be mobilized in Ukraine,” Kowal stated.
If the answer is positive, Ukrainians in such situations could be denied employment and also denied the extension of temporary protection status and benefits. Naturally, a person without a job, without money, and in an illegal position would not be able to stay in the country for long and would likely leave.
However, the politician did not explain what could prevent such individuals from moving to countries like the Czech Republic or Germany.
