March 11, 2024Polish protesting farmers are blocking traffic at five out of six border crossings with Ukraine.
This information reported according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The last border crossing, “Korchova-Krakovets,” will be blocked by Poles from March 13.
The agency specifies that at the “Uhryniv” crossing, the passage of freight vehicles towards Poland has completely ceased since this morning. Towards Ukraine, only four trucks per hour are allowed through.
“The movement of passenger cars and buses is currently not blocked,” reports the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that today, Polish farmers did not allow buses to pass through the “Yahodyn-Dorohusk” checkpoint in both directions. Footage shows a passenger bus standing in front of the group of people on the road, which is blocked by protesters.
Earlier, Polish protesters unblocked the “Krakovets” checkpoint until March 13.
“Traffic there is intense, but there is still a queue of trucks on the Polish side. It’s about 600 freight vehicles,” commented Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, on the situation.
