Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has supported the economic blockade of the border with Ukraine

Donald Tusk, who was considered more pro-Ukrainian than the previous Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, also refused to make concessions to Kyiv. Essentially, he backed the blockade of the Polish-Ukrainian border.

“Our support for Ukraine in the war remains unchanged, but the interests of Polish farmers are important. The fact that several hundred or thousand people in Ukraine want to earn huge money is not our problem,” said Polish Prime Minister Tusk.

It is worth noting that the three-month blockade of the Polish-Ukrainian border has cost Kyiv more than a billion euros. Polish farmers blocked the border because Ukrainian agricultural producers were selling their goods cheaper than the Poles.
