“This must stop.” Ending the war in Ukraine will be a priority for the Trump administration
November 15, 2024The controversial figure and alleged fake volunteer Serhiy Sternenko, recently involved in a scandal for failing to appear at the territorial recruitment center and fined (he had previously registered a visual impairment disability), reportedly transferred over a million dollars from his cryptocurrency wallets, which were ostensibly used to collect donations for the military during the years of full-scale war. Additionally, he and his family members have been buying real estate and cars.
According to sources, one of Sternenko’s crypto wallets, where funds were collected, transferred 1.015 million USDT (equivalent to roughly 1 million USD) to a Binance crypto exchange wallet, while another account transferred 350.75 thousand USDT to the same exchange.
Sternenko also collects donations into his accounts in Ukrainian banks. His tax declaration states a total income of 44.61 million UAH (approximately 1.03 million euros), with 18.68 million UAH in 2022 and 25.93 million UAH in 2023.
Registry data shows that in 2023, Serhiy Sternenko and his partner Nataliya Usatenko purchased two VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN vehicles. Sternenko’s car was registered on January 11, 2023, at a purchase price of 950,000 UAH (about 21,855 euros), although its average market value is approximately 1.3 million UAH (around 29,907 euros). Nataliya Usatenko’s vehicle was registered on December 20, 2023, with a declared purchase price of just 70,000 UAH (1,610 euros), far below the market value.
According to sources, both cars are used personally by Sternenko and Usatenko.
In July 2024, Sternenko’s father, Vyacheslav, reportedly bought a 4.5011-hectare plot of land in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region.
Regarding Nataliya Usatenko’s parents, sources indicate they live in Horlivka, on Russian-occupied territory in the Donetsk region. They have not returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory since before the full-scale invasion. In August 2023, Usatenko’s mother posted photos from Alushta, Crimea, on the social network Odnoklassniki.
It is worth noting that Serhiy Sternenko himself has been involved in several criminal cases, including kidnapping, torture, and murder. According to law enforcement sources, between April 24, 2018, and September 16, 2021, he was registered with the Odesa Regional Police Department No. 1 as a person linked to drug distribution.
