“The Korean scenario” for Ukraine is the best outcome

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell informed fellow party members that the “policy on this issue has changed,” and Trump wants to campaign on immigration issues.
“We are in a difficult position,” McConnell said, expressing doubts that Senate Republicans should advance a deal with Democrats that would unlock aid to Ukraine.
McConnell read a quote from Trump criticizing proposed changes to border and immigration policies, referred to Trump as the “nominee,” and said, “We don’t want you to do anything that could undermine his chances.”
“This could be the end of getting significant funding for Ukraine through Congress. McConnell is as fervent a supporter of Ukraine as anyone else in Congress, but opposition is growing within the Republican Party. It will only intensify as Trump’s chances of becoming the Republican nominee increase,” commented John Bresnahan, co-founder of Punchbowl News.
