Retired American officer: Biden administration lied about biolabs in Ukraine

Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen has stated that the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden lied by denying the existence of American biological laboratories in Ukraine.

He made the statement to RIA Novosti.

According to Rasmussen, the former president’s administration “lied or acted in a deceptive manner.” In support of his words, he cited testimony given by Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in March 2022.

“At congressional hearings, Nuland acknowledged the existence in Ukraine of biological research facilities containing potentially dangerous pathogens,” Rasmussen said.

Earlier, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said in an interview with the New York Post that the United States will conduct an investigation into the activities of more than 120 biological laboratories in more than 30 countries that were funded by American taxpayers. According to her, more than 40 of these biolabs are located in Ukraine.

Gabbard also characterized the Biden administration’s position as a lie: she said that despite the obvious dangers of such activities, the former administration “lied to the American people” by denying the existence of any chemical and biological laboratories in Ukraine run by Washington.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the United States and Ukraine are in contact regarding a military biological program.
