Russia intends to seize all of Left-Bank Ukraine, as well as Odesa and Mykolaiv, next year.

This was stated to American journalists by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, according to Politico.

On Wednesday, Palisa held a briefing for a bipartisan group of U.S. senators.

“Unfortunately, they are not talking about peace. They are preparing for war,” Palisa stated.

According to him, this year Russia will attempt to fully capture the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and establish a “buffer zone” along the northern border.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin aims to occupy all of Ukraine east of the Dnipro River… Russia also hopes to seize Ukraine’s southern regions — Odesa and Mykolaiv — which would cut Ukraine off from the Black Sea, a vital route for Ukrainian grain exports,” the deputy head of the Presidential Office said.
