Russia is sending informal signals to the United States, expressing openness to discussions on Ukraine

Russia’s President is reportedly is ready to regarding future security arrangements for Ukraine. These messages were allegedly transmitted through an intermediary last month with the intermediary’s identity remaining undisclosed, as per Bloomberg’s information from two Kremlin insiders.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, Putin may be willing to consider abandoning the requirement for Ukraine’s neutral status and non-membership in NATO. However, he would insist on the acknowledgment of Russian control over territories already seized by the Russian military. In response to Bloomberg, Dmitry Peskov affirmed that Russia is open to negotiations for resolving the situation in Ukraine but emphasized the nation’s commitment to achieving all its objectives.

While expressing a preference for a diplomatic solution, Peskov cautioned that if necessary, the military operation would persist until those objectives are accomplished.
