According to Bloomberg’s sources, Putin may be willing to consider abandoning the requirement for Ukraine’s neutral status and non-membership in NATO. In response to Bloomberg, Dmitry Peskov affirmed that Russia is open to negotiations for resolving the situation in Ukraine but emphasized the nation’s commitment to achieving all its objectives.
While expressing a preference for a diplomatic solution, Peskov cautioned that if necessary, the military operation would persist until those objectives are accomplished. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first report in U.S. media suggesting Putin’s signals of readiness to conclude the conflict in Ukraine under the condition of maintaining Russian control over already occupied territories.
