Earnings up to 44,000 euros a year, free transportation, and zero-interest mortgages: Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense promotes military contracts to youth, luring men to their deaths
March 26, 2025Russia is not considering the possibility of joint management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) with the United States.
This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak during a conversation with journalists.
According to Novak, he is unaware of any such intentions.
“I believe that such a scenario regarding the nuclear power plant is not under consideration,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) emphasized that there are no precedents for joint operation of nuclear power plants in global practice. The ministry considers such an arrangement unacceptable, as it would not allow for proper nuclear and physical security, nor would it resolve issues of civil liability for nuclear damage.
“An important factor is that the close cooperation between NATO intelligence agencies — which possess significant sabotage capabilities — and Ukraine makes it impossible to even temporarily allow representatives of those countries access to the ZNPP,” the MFA noted.
It’s worth recalling that U.S. President Donald Trump previously mentioned the possibility of transferring ownership of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to the United States.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that transferring the ZNPP to U.S. ownership is out of the question.
Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Ministry also stated that it considers the Zaporizhzhia plant to be a Russian nuclear facility and will not hand over control to anyone.
