Russian forces have encircled Makarivka, South of Velyka Novosilka – Deep State

Russian forces have encircled the village of Makarivka, located south of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

This development is confirmed by a map from the Ukrainian military public channel Deep State, which also indicates the presence of Ukrainian troops in the area.

The encirclement of Makarivka has also been acknowledged by a Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign “Alex.”

“Makarivka, south of Velyka Novosilka, is fully encircled. I hope the higher command is planning a solution to this situation,” he wrote.

Russian sources claim that their forces have also captured Storozheve, located north of Makarivka. However, on the Deep State map, it is marked as a gray zone.

Earlier in December, Ukrainian forces found themselves in an operational encirclement in the “Uspenivka Pocket” near Kurakhove. Deep State reported that not all soldiers managed to escape, though Ukrainian authorities denied this.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces have reported that Russian troops attacked the key village of Terny near Lyman and Siversk, capturing its center. According to Lieutenant Alex, Russian infantry reinforcements are being deployed to the village, and “the outlook is not very encouraging.”
