U.S. officials are ‘concerned’ that the continued Kursk operation could overstretch Ukrainian forces
22.08.2024 - 10:12Russian guided aerial bombs (KAB) are currently the biggest challenge for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This information reported according to a Ukrainian army commander with the call sign “Abdula,” as reported on the YouTube channel of the TV station “We Are Ukraine.”
“The enemy is using them in large quantities. This issue remains unresolved. When 250-500 kilogram warheads hit a position, it’s just terrifying. Unfortunately, they are striking with great accuracy,” he said.
The commander noted that the situation could be addressed with F-16 fighter jets equipped with air-to-air missiles, as well as by strengthening air defense systems. He emphasized that KABs are a significant problem at the moment.
Previously, Oleksandr Bordiian, a representative of the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, also mentioned that Russian forces are increasingly using KABs on the front lines. Additionally, he noted that Russian forces continue to attack Ukrainian positions using artillery and drones.
