The Ministry of Defense of Russia has released a video showing Russian forces destroying Ukrainian army helicopters in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR). The defense ministry clarified that strikes on enemy vehicles were made using cluster munitions.
“Through aerial reconnaissance means, three Ukrainian army helicopters were detected landing on a concealed field airstrip, equipped for refueling and rearming. An immediate strike with cluster munitions was carried out,” the Ministry of Defense stated.
The footage depicts strikes being made on the location where the Ukrainian helicopters were stationed. After precise bombardment, the Ukrainian vehicles remain on the ground engulfed in flames.
A Ukrainian military Telegram channel, which reposted this video, commented on the incident, stating that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently facing a problem with the proliferation of Russian reconnaissance drones, which are guiding such strikes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a Ukrainian Armed Forces depot and HIMARS rocket systems storage on the Kherson direction. According to the ministry’s data, enemy troop concentrations were also destroyed, as reported by RT.
