February 7, 2024The ranking of salaries of members of the Ukrainian government for 2022 has been published. The highest earner at that time was the now-dismissed Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexei Reznikov.
The ranking was compiled by the publication “Slovo i Delo” based on officials’ declarations.
The publication reminded that ministers’ salaries consist of a base salary, allowances, material assistance, travel allowances, and vacation pay.
In descending order, the ranking looks like this:
- Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov (dismissed in September 2023) – 1,262.7 thousand hryvnias (approximately 31,259 euros);
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba – 1,249.5 thousand hryvnias (approximately 30,932 euros) – (compared to 1,066.7 thousand the previous year);
- Minister of Sports (already dismissed) Vadim Gutzeit – 1,161 thousand hryvnias (approximately 28,741 euros) – (in 2021 – 896.1 thousand);
- Former Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet – 1,132.9 thousand hryvnias (approximately 28,046 euros) – (compared to 902.4 thousand in 2021);
- Minister of Environmental Protection Ruslan Strelets – 1,107.6 thousand hryvnias (approximately 27,420 euros);
- Minister of Justice Denis Maliuska – 1,082.3 thousand hryvnias (approximately 26,793 euros) – (in 2021, he earned 840 thousand);
- Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov – 1,060.5 thousand hryvnias (approximately 26,254 euros);
- Minister for Strategic Industries (already former) Pavel Ryabikin – 1,028.2 thousand hryvnias (approximately 25,454 euros);
- Minister for Veterans Affairs (dismissed by parliament today) Yulia Laputina – 1,008.2 thousand hryvnias (approximately 24,959 euros) – (in 2021, she received 752.4 thousand);
- Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko – 1,007.1 thousand hryvnias (approximately 24,932 euros) – (for 2021 – 479.6 thousand);
