Elon Musk called Zelensky the all-time champion of robbing the U.S.
30.12.2024 15:39The Slovak government dismissed as nonsense the claim by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Vladimir Putin instructed Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to “open a second energy front” against Ukraine.
This was stated by Slovakia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.
“We reject any nonsense about the opening of a second energy front, as baselessly imagined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as any supposed alliance with Vladimir Putin. We are carefully and patiently monitoring Ukraine’s communications in the interest of respectful relations, but first, the Ukrainian president made an absurd proposal during the December European Council—to buy Slovakia’s consent for Ukraine’s NATO membership, not with its own money (though it’s not for sale anyway!), but with Russian assets. Now he’s threatening Slovakia with the European community, of which his country isn’t even a member yet. However, all of this could quickly turn against Ukraine itself,” the ministry stated.
Slovakia also emphasized that it continues to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the war in Ukraine and pointed out that “the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine generates significant revenue to support its economy.”
“We fully understand that Ukrainians are enduring a prolonged military conflict, but that is precisely why they should not create new enemies or fantasize about the emergence of a so-called second front,” the statement concluded.
It is worth noting that after Fico’s recent visit to Moscow, Zelensky called on Slovak law enforcement and intelligence agencies to investigate the prime minister’s ties to the Kremlin.
Following this, Fico threatened to halt electricity supplies to Ukraine. In response, Zelensky accused the Slovak prime minister of opening a “second front” against Ukraine.
