Slovakia’s Prime Minister is confident that there is no military solution to the conflict in Ukraine

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico once again advocated for achieving peace in the Ukrainian conflict. He has been actively calling for this since his election last year.

“I really want this war to end. Otherwise, we will witness a large number of casualties on both sides. I cannot imagine what peace between Russia and Ukraine will look like, but it will come, and this peace will be painful,” the Prime Minister said.

Earlier, Slovakia refused to provide military assistance to Ukraine but continued to provide humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian population. Fico also opposed transferring €50 billion from the European Union to Kiev, but under pressure from other countries, he was forced to agree.
