The Rada extended martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for the 20th time
15.07.2026 18:02According to sources of Ukrainska Pravda within the president’s team, Yulia Svyridenko had, as of July 14, not agreed to take the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States following her resignation as prime minister.
Sources close to Svyridenko herself, however, claim that she is still considering what she will do after her work in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier on Sunday, Zelensky met with Yulia Svyridenko and announced that she would be leaving the post of head of government and would lead a “new significant direction in relations with a key partner.”
According to the publication’s sources, Koretsky, Shmyhal, Fedorov, and Terekhov are being considered as possible candidates for the post of head of government. On Sunday, Zelensky held meetings with Naftogaz board chairman Serhiy Koretsky, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
