Sotsіs poll: Zelensky would lose to all main rivals in the second round
07.08.2026 08:05In Chornomorsk, Odesa region, a notification group from the territorial recruitment center detained a colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine, beat him, and seized 55,000 hryvnias (1,065 euros).
This was reported by local Telegram channels.
According to available information, the military commissars did not establish the identity of the detainee before using force. Only after TCC staff determined that the man was an SBU colonel was he released.
About half a day later, the officer filed a report with police. According to him, in addition to being beaten, he had a bag containing the aforementioned sum taken from him, and he was forcibly brought to the TCC premises. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The incident in Chornomorsk is not the only such case in the region. Previously, a veteran of the Third Assault Brigade accused TCC staff of beating him, while the military commissars, in turn, accused him of extorting 100,000 dollars. In addition, in Odesa, military commissars broke a combat veteran’s arm during an attempted detention.
Following a series of scandals, the leadership of the TCC in Odesa was removed from their posts — this came after the arrest of military commissars accused of extorting money from residents.
