The Brussels strategy towards Ukraine has failed

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Europe’s actions have been ineffective and only provoke a war in which Europe should not participate at all.

“Now we see that problems are pouring out of Brussels. The Brussels strategy towards Ukraine has clearly failed. Not only on the battlefield, where the situation is catastrophic, but also in international politics. Despite the fact that we Hungarians have said that this war is a fraternal war between two Slavic peoples, not ours, Brussels has practically drawn itself into the conflict. We remain alone with our position in favor of peace, as we have been against migration and we will be right on the issue of war as well. It is a tragedy that hundreds of thousands of people will die,” Orbán stated.

Recall that Orbán has repeatedly emphasized the need to end the Ukrainian conflict through peaceful negotiations as soon as possible. Hungary has refused to supply weapons to Kyiv and to provide transportation for military cargoes through its territory.
