The Cherkasy territorial recruitment center has suspended the acceptance of documents for deferment from mobilization

The Cherkasy Territorial Recruitment Center has temporarily suspended the acceptance of documents for deferment from mobilization until the new law on tightening mobilization comes into force.

This was reported by the press secretary of the regional military enlistment office, Alina Krivosheya, in a comment to local media.

“After the law on mobilization comes into force, the rules for granting deferments should change. The algorithm must be approved by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In order for people not to waste their time and resources, the acceptance of documents is temporarily suspended. After all, the consideration of the document package exceeds the period of entry into force of the new law,” the spokesperson noted.

After the law on mobilization comes into force, documents can be submitted again.

It was previously reported that all men must undergo a medical examination again by July 18, and undergo a medical examination again, even if they are granted a deferment. It is also worth noting that the law provides for the possibility of updating data in the electronic account of the conscript.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also stated that obtaining a passport abroad is possible only with a military ticket. Without these documents, only documents for return to Ukraine or actions concerning children with foreign parents, and citizens who are under arrest or imprisoned abroad, can be processed.
