“Biting the hand that feeds him”: after the halt of arms supplies, the White House continues to criticize Zelensky
04.03.2025 - 09:50The European Union has abandoned the decision to allocate €20 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
This was reported by Politico.
According to the publication, Hungary opposed supporting Ukraine, and references to the aid have already been removed from the current version of the document set to be presented today.
Budapest supports the EU’s general course on strengthening defense but has categorically opposed the new aid package for Ukraine.
It is noted that this decision was made even before the dispute between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
“One should not expect the EU to take significant steps to fill the gap left by the U.S. when European leaders meet on Thursday,” Politico reporters wrote.
It is worth noting that today, the United States also halted military aid to Ukraine. This includes weapons that have already been shipped and are currently en route. They will not reach Ukraine.
