‘Employees died, bodies not given to relatives’: ‘Luch’ and ‘Artem’ enterprises were hit during the attack on Kyiv on December 29 – former MP says
January 4, 2024This is reported by Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Cheslav Sekersky. He confirmed this decision after a meeting with representatives of various agricultural organizations and farmer unions.
Sekersky emphasized the necessity of adhering to existing laws and regulations, including those set by the EU, while also supporting the demands of protesting farmers. He assured that the Polish government is willing to address these demands but stressed that legal validation may require a considerable amount of time. The minister reiterated the commitment to fulfilling promises made to farmers and expressed confidence in the fulfillment of these commitments.
Just a reminder, since spring 2023, Poland has been blocking the importation of agricultural products from Ukraine at the request of local farmers. The importation and even transportation pose a threat to Polish agricultural producers, potentially leading many of them to bankruptcy. Consequently, they have staunchly decided not to allow Ukrainian competitors with lower prices into their own and the European markets.
