The first NATO country supported Macron’s idea to send troops to Ukraine

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Western leaders should not rule out such a possibility, according to Politico.

“I think these are also signals that we are sending to Russia that we do not exclude various things. Because all countries have understood that we must do everything for Ukraine to win and for Russia to lose this war,” Kallas said. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis also stated that “nothing can be taken off the table, no option can be rejected out of hand.”

It is worth noting that other NATO countries, including the United States, did not support Macron’s idea. Later, even in France itself, they began to distance themselves from this idea, specifying that they were misunderstood. Allegedly, Paris proposed sending only technical specialists. In fact, Macron’s words caused serious alarm among European countries, as everyone was frightened by the prospect of a global war.
