The Foreign Ministry spoke about Kyiv creating a bloody backdrop for the UN General Assembly

Kyiv is carrying out attacks on civilians in Russia to create a “bloody backdrop” for the opening of the UN General Assembly in New York.

This information according to Russian Foreign Ministry envoy Rodion Miroshnik.

“Kyiv is doing everything it can to create a ‘bloody backdrop’ to the upcoming High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly and the participation of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky in it,” the diplomat said.

He described as a “Nazi design” the situation in which the Ukrainian leader will be speaking at a high level while, in his words, striking Russian civilian targets.

Earlier, Zelensky submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada authorizing the deployment of Armed Forces of Ukraine units abroad. If passed, Kyiv would be able to send troops overseas to carry out missions related to national security and defense.
