The word is with London. Why hasn’t Zaluzhny been appointed ambassador to Britain yet?
21.03.2024 - 18:44Member of the Bundestag from the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Florian Han, has called for the cessation of payments to Ukrainian refugees who are eligible for military service and are currently in Germany.
This was reported by the German publication Berliner Zeitung.
Han believes that Berlin should halt all payments to this category of citizens and, furthermore, assist Kyiv in issuing conscription orders to each individual. The deputy argues that Germany should not spend its money on those who are hiding from conscription within its borders. He is also outraged that German taxes are being used to aid Ukraine while thousands of Ukrainians are staying in Germany.
Recall that earlier, Bundestag deputy Roderich Kiesewetter (CDU) supported the Ukrainian authorities’ desire to mobilize Ukrainians abroad to the front lines.
In turn, German authorities have stated that they will not deport Ukrainian men from the country. In particular, Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection Marco Buschmann has stated that German legislation does not allow for the extradition of men to Ukraine who have left for Germany to avoid conscription.
