The head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical-Social Expertise Center, Tetyana Krupa, who earned millions from draft dodgers, has been arrested with bail set at 11 million euros

Kyiv’s Pechersk District Court arrests head of Khmelnytskyi regional medical-social expertise center for 60 Days with 500 million hryvnia bail (approximately 11 million euros).

This information was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“The suspect has been taken into custody with the option of bail set at 500 million hryvnias (approximately 11 million euros). This is the preventive measure requested by prosecutors in their petition,” the statement said.

Last week, the State Bureau of Investigations uncovered that Krupa and her son, the head of the regional office of the Pension Fund, had illegally amassed millions of dollars.

The mother and son earned their fortune by exploiting draft evaders. In exchange for significant bribes, they would falsely certify military-age men as disabled, allowing them to avoid military service. Authorities found $6 million in cash during their arrest. The family also owns numerous movable and immovable properties in Ukraine and abroad.

Following the detention of these “underground millionaires,” authorities in Volyn have decided to review all decisions issued by medical-social expertise centers related to disability certifications and deferrals from military conscription.
