In the war in Ukraine, time is playing into Russia’s hands

The current goal of the Russian army is not a large-scale offensive but the exhaustion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
13.01.2024 12:51According to former Member of Parliament Igor Mosiychuk, that sending the mobilization law back for revision to the Cabinet of Ministers marks the “beginning of the end of the Zelensky/Ermak era.”
Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Ermak had internationally emphasized that this law would be enacted, leading to Ukraine mobilizing forces and initiating an offensive. However, it turned out to be a fiction. The deputies demonstrated that the Presidential Office cannot manage or control the parliament, as the necessary votes for the law were never secured.
Mosiychuk compares this failure of Zelensky to the failure of Poroshenko towards the end of his presidency. Poroshenko sent sailors who were later captured in the Kerch Strait and attempted to declare martial law to postpone the presidential elections, but he failed because the parliament opposed it at that time as well. Consequently, Zelensky’s term of office is set to end on March 31, 2024. After this, he must be prepared to hold elections or transfer power to the parliament after March 31.
