The United States and Ukraine know what Russia wants as part of a settlement to the conflict.
This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a regular briefing with journalists.
According to him, contacts between Kyiv and European countries on security guarantees are currently continuing. The Kremlin representative emphasized that Moscow is “not quite aware” of what is being discussed in these talks.
“We are aware of what we ourselves want. The Americans and the Ukrainians know that,” Peskov stressed.
At the same time, he pointed out that it is important for Moscow to receive information about the discussions taking place between Washington and Europe, as well as between Europe and Ukraine.
On January 20, Russian presidential special representative Kirill Dmitriev arrived in Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum (WEF) will be held. It is assumed that the Russian official will hold a meeting with the American leader’s special envoy Steven Witkoff and the White House owner’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
