August 6, 2024The lawyer of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Ihor Holovan, has been accused of forging a medical certificate that declared him unfit for military service.
This was reported by the publication “Law and Business,” citing lawyer Olena Isaievska.
Isaievska claims that in early June, the military medical commission of the Shevchenkivskyi Territorial Recruitment Center in Kyiv found the 56-year-old Holovan unfit for service, excluding him from military registration based on articles 31a (vision disorders) and 39a (hypertensive disease stage III).
She also stated that Holovan’s male relatives are evading mobilization: his son Volodymyr, born in 1990; his brother Mykola, born in 1972; and his sister’s husband, Yevhen Shelakin, born in 1977. Isaievska intends to file a criminal complaint with law enforcement agencies regarding this matter.
Previously, “Law and Business” reported that Mykhailo Zhernakov, a partner of the head of the Anti-Corruption Center Vitaliy Shabunin, submitted a certificate to the territorial recruitment center stating he was employed at a university, and then resigned from that position. The publication describes that the document he provided helped Zhernakov avoid criminal prosecution for evading mobilization.
