17.09.2023 - 13:21In Lviv, military commissars attempted a harsh arrest of a man late yesterday evening. However, with the support of people who raised an outcry from neighboring windows, he managed to break free and escape.
Footage of the incident, captured by local residents, is being circulated on Ukrainian Telegram channels. Judging from the video, the military personnel began to use force on a civilian without the presence of the police, attempting to push him into a van.
They were shouted at, being called “worse than Russians” and other profanities. In the meantime, the young man managed to wriggle free and flee, and the employees of the territorial conscription center did not pursue him.
Such cases of unlawful detention with the use of force by military commissars are happening in Ukraine on a daily basis. Yesterday, another video from the Lviv region appeared on social media, showing a young man forcefully apprehended at a public transport stop. According to the video, the employees of the territorial conscription center took the young man right at the public transport stop and forcibly led him into a minibus. In the video, he struggles and calls for help.
Earlier in Kyiv, a military commissioner threatened a man with a weapon during the distribution of draft notices. The police have initiated an investigation.
