October 12, 2023Employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers do not have the right to check documents for civilians.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Justice noted that employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers do not have the authority to check documents for civilians and conscripts. Therefore, in practice, they patrol together with representatives of the National Police and deliver summonses to men.
This task can only be performed by representatives of the following agencies:
- Police;
- Security Service of Ukraine;
- National Guard;
- State Border Guard Service;
- Migration Service;
- Customs Service;
- Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is important to note that summonses can be delivered anywhere.
As previously reported by Roman Istomin, the spokesperson of the Poltava Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, it is not permissible to detain and assault individuals who refuse to accept a summons. Confiscating documents, phones, entering private property without police and valid reasons, and stopping transportation are also not allowed.
