The new Prime Minister of the Netherlands may cancel the delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine

The triumph of Geert Wilders’ far-right party in the Netherlands poses a threat to the Western coalition of fighter jets, especially the critical role of the Dutch F-16 supply to Ukraine, Bild reported.

The Netherlands had committed to transferring all their 42 F-16 planes to Ukraine with a significant portion allocated directly to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the remainder intended for training Ukrainian pilots.

The victorious “Party for Freedom” (PVV) led by Wilders has pledged to cease its military support to Ukraine. Back in 2018, Wilders had visited the Russian State Duma and conducted an interview with the state-run RT. During this interaction, he ridiculed expert warnings regarding Putin’s territorial expansion aspirations and expressed skepticism about the concept of “Russophobia.”
