The number of cases of unauthorized abandonment of units has sharply increased in the Ukrainian army

In Ukraine, the number of unauthorized absences from military units has significantly increased.

This information reported according to Supreme Court Chairman Stanislav Kravchenko.

“We haven’t analyzed the figures yet, so I can’t provide specific numbers, but there is a clear trend toward an increase in unauthorized absences,” Kravchenko stated.

He explained that this trend includes instances of unauthorized absence, desertion, and disobedience to orders.

While Kravchenko did not provide specific data on these offenses, he mentioned that the figures reported in the media are slightly higher than the actual numbers. Assessing the severity of the situation overall, he described it as “threatening.”

Earlier reports indicated that since the beginning of the war, over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have engaged in unauthorized absences from their units.
