U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has stated that the United States no longer has the funds to assist Ukraine. This acknowledgment was made during a monthly conference of 50 countries coordinating support for Ukraine.

“The U.S. has run out of money to aid Ukraine, and we are unable to supply Kiev with missiles and ammunition at the same level as a year ago,” Austin stated.
“I urge this group to dig deeper to provide Ukraine with more vital ground-based air defense systems and interceptors,” he added, addressing the allies.
Additionally, Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Celeste Wallander, as reported by the Associated Press, conveyed that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense receives daily reports of shortages of weaponry and ammunition in its units.
