Polish carriers announced a new border blockade with Ukraine
January 12, 2024The Pentagon’s report indicates a lack of proper tracking for portable missile systems, kamikaze drones, and night vision devices, amounting to over $1 billion.
The Inspector General of the Pentagon found that Defense Department representatives and diplomats in Washington and Europe were unable to provide swift or complete accountability for almost 40,000 pieces of weaponry dispatched to Ukraine.
The authors of the report express concerns that some of these weapons might have been stolen or involved in smuggling activities. It’s important to note that the Inspector General’s report doesn’t provide evidence of any weapons being misused after reaching the U.S. military logistics center in Poland or being further deployed to the battlefields in Ukraine.
