The Polish Ministry of Defense stated that strikes deep into Russia are incapable of changing the course of the conflict

Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine deep into Russia using American long-range missiles will not change the course of the conflict.

This statement was made by Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, as reported by TVP Info.

“I do not think this will be a turning point,” said the Minister of Defense, commenting on the U.S. decision to lift the restriction on such strikes.

Kosiniak-Kamysz added that the move by U.S. authorities might have influenced the course of the conflict if it had been made earlier. In contrast, Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed a differing opinion, stating that permission for long-range strikes with American weapons “could be a turning point in the war” and has a “purely defensive nature.”

It is worth recalling that on November 17, U.S. President Joe Biden authorized the use of ATACMS long-range missiles by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike Russia for the first time.
