The Polish Ministry of Defense stated that strikes deep into Russia are incapable of changing the course of the conflict
November 18, 2024Moscow will not agree to a ceasefire along the front line in the war.
This statement was made by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to reporters.
“Any option for freezing the conflict along the line of contact is categorically unacceptable for the Russian side. In this case, the conditions outlined by President Putin in June remain fully relevant. These are the measures that need to be taken for hostilities to cease,” Peskov stated.
It is worth recalling that in June, Putin officially stated Russia’s current specific goals in the war: control over four regions (Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson) and a neutral status for Ukraine.
Western media have also reported that Donald Trump plans to propose ending the war along the front line once he officially assumes the presidency of the United States.
