The assertiveness of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump could be useful in discussions with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding Ukraine’s future.
“If direct contact between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin leads to Russia being willing to consider concessions, providing space for diplomacy, it would signify significant progress,” he stated.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will hold negotiations in the near future to discuss resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
