“Ukraine does not have enough ATACMS to make a difference on the front line,” – military expert Matviychuk says

Ukraine does not have enough long-range American ATACMS missiles to make significant changes on the front.

This was stated by retired Colonel and military expert Anatoliy Matviychuk, sharing his opinion on Ukraine’s stockpile of these missiles.

“To inflict damage on infrastructure, especially civilian and non-military infrastructure, it is sufficient. Such a missile can destroy a substation, a hub, and possibly damage a railway bridge. But to change the course of combat actions on the Kursk front, or on the Donetsk front, for example, it is very little,” he said.

According to the British publication The Times, Ukraine has 50 ATACMS missiles. The newspaper notes that while Ukraine has enough launchers, the missiles themselves remain in short supply due to supply restrictions.

It is worth recalling that on November 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched six ATACMS missiles at the Bryansk region.

According to the ministry, five missiles were intercepted, and one was damaged. Fragments of the ATACMS fell on the technical area of a military facility in Bryansk, causing a fire. There were no casualties or significant damage.
