December 22, 2023The UUF Foundation, dedicated to purchasing ambulances for Ukraine, has responded to the scandalous attempt by territorial enlistment center employees in Odessa to take a man in one of their vehicles.
The foundation’s press service released a corresponding statement.
“We are informed and deeply concerned about how ambulances, sent to save lives in Ukraine, are being used. All ambulances are provided free of charge in response to requests from medical personnel in combat units, as well as official medical institutions.”
“It’s difficult to establish under which specific order this vehicle was dispatched without its original numbers. We can confidently say one thing: ‘We haven’t received any requests, and no vehicle has been directly dispatched from us to any territorial enlistment center.'”
In essence, “We are all shocked here! We raised funds and sent this vehicle to the front line not to pick people off the streets!” the statement reads.
Recall that in Odessa, territorial enlistment center employees arrived in an ambulance and packed a man inside. A woman rushed to his defense, trying to pull him out of the van’s open cabin. Eventually, both were released, and the ambulance drove away.
Moreover, on the medical special transport used by Odessa’s conscription officers, a sticker from an organization purchasing ambulances for frontline needs through people’s donations was noticed.
