The Rada Committee approved Zelensky’s draft law on the demobilization of conscripts

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence has supported the draft law proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the demobilization of conscripts.

This was announced by People’s Deputy Alexei Goncharenko in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, deputies proposed adding a provision for deferring further mobilization for a period of 12 months. It is worth noting that the presidential draft law does not specify the timing of demobilization. It only states that it will occur by the decree of the president. The timing of such a decree is not specified.

Earlier, the Odessa City Council called on the Verkhovna Rada to repeal the provision on demobilization after 36 months by the decision of the Board in the draft law on tightening mobilization. This call to the parliament was supported by 43 local deputies.
