The Russian army has accelerated its advance across Ukrainian territory at a record pace, — Reuters reported

The pace of the Russian military’s advance has reached its highest levels since the early days of the full-scale invasion in 2022.

In early 2022, Russian forces captured significant territories, but later they were pushed back into the eastern and southern regions. The front line remained almost unchanged for two years, until the start of active combat operations in the summer of 2024.

Last week, the Russian army captured about 235 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, marking a weekly record for 2024.

Some Western and Russian officials believe that the war has entered its most “dangerous” phase. Russia is bringing in North Korean troops, while Ukraine is using Western missiles to strike Russian territory.
