The Russian army is entrenching itself in apartment buildings in the center of Selydove, where the main fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was located – Ukrainian soldiers

Russian forces are consolidating their positions in high-rise buildings in the center of Selydove, Donetsk region, where a key Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) fortified area was located.

This information is being reported by Ukrainian military personnel.

They describe an advance by a large number of Russian infantry, which is successfully infiltrating houses and basements in the city.

“Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, the enemy is succeeding in the center of Selydove and has already occupied several high-rise buildings. Watching the footage of the fighting and the state of the urban areas, I sadly must say that the battles for Selydove resemble the battles for Novohrodivka,” wrote a UAF officer with the callsign “Alex.” (Novohrodivka, a settlement near Selydove, was captured by Russian forces in August with almost no resistance.)

Yesterday, Ukrainian forces reported that Russian troops had reached the center of Selydove, and the situation for the UAF in the city had significantly worsened. This advance has also been confirmed by the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Deep State”.
