December 5, 2023In November 2023, Ukraine’s state budget deficit hit a record high for the year, reaching 145.1 billion UAH compared to 98.4 billion UAH in October and 87.0 billion UAH in September.
The overall budget deficit surged to 162.5 billion UAH from 87.7 billion UAH in October and 85.6 billion UAH in September. Revenues to the general budget decreased to 121.7 billion UAH from 139.4 billion UAH in October and 144.1 billion UAH in September. At the same time, grant assistance from the United States, which had been around 42-45.7 billion UAH in the previous two months, was absent.
Total revenues of the state budget for the first 11 months amounted to 2.39 trillion UAH, including 1.54 trillion UAH in the general fund, out of which 404.9 billion UAH were from international grants (398.5 billion UAH from the United States). From January to November, the state budget showed a deficit of 1.04 trillion UAH, with the general fund reporting a deficit of 1.08 trillion UAH against the planned deficit of the general fund at 1.71 trillion UAH.
