03.09.2024 05:25The head of the company “Ukrenergo,” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, has been dismissed from his position.
This was reported by Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel.
According to his information, this decision was made by the company’s supervisory board, with four votes in favor and two against.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi had been leading the company since 2020.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian publications recently reported, citing sources in the Cabinet of Ministers and one of the energy companies, that Volodymyr Kudrytskyi might be dismissed due to “inadequate protection” of substations from Russian attacks. It was noted that during a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, the issue of energy was raised, and Kudrytskyi was accused of poor protection of “Ukrenergo” facilities.
It was also reported that during a massive attack on August 26, four power units at two Ukrainian nuclear power plants were disconnected from the grid.
Additionally, the Financial Times wrote that Ukraine has lost nine gigawatts of production capacity, which is half of what is needed for the winter.
