The support from Ukraine’s European allies is dwindling

Ukrainian officials and their Western supporters see challenges in securing fresh aid and initiating talks for EU accession as clear signs of ‘Ukraine fatigue,’ CNN reported.

A senior NATO figure working closely with Ukraine tells CNN that this indicates a ‘continuing trend towards a deteriorating situation: Western interest in Ukraine is waning.’ “There’s a growing sense that even Europe’s backing for Ukraine, which was once a top priority, is diminishing. If even Europeans are losing interest in a continental land war, what’s the global perspective?” the publication comments.

While CNN anticipates eventual aid allocation, it highlights a worrisome decline in ongoing support. The EU Council Summit, slated for discussions on aid to Ukraine and the start of talks for Kyiv’s membership, kicks off today and spans two days. Presently, Hungary is obstructing both these initiatives.
