‘The territories that are occupied – they are no longer Ukraine’: Klitschko unexpectedly responded to the question about elections

Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko made a statement regarding the topic of possible elections in Ukraine.

Klitschko’s words were aired on the “Kyiv” television channel.

“To vote? The territories that are occupied are no longer Ukraine because there won’t be any representatives,” said the mayor of the capital.

It’s worth noting that the majority of Ukrainians surveyed by the Razumkov Center expressed their opposition to holding elections during a time of war. Against – 63.8% of those surveyed, in favor – 15.1%, undecided – 21.1%.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, raised the possibility of holding elections under the conditions of war. According to him, this would require changes in legislation, ensuring the safety and access of people to the electoral process.
