The Ukrainian counteroffensive of 2023 has been deemed one of the biggest strategic miscalculations by the US administration in recent decades.

This statement was made by military analyst Julian Röpke of Bild, commenting on yesterday’s article in The Washington Post about the reasons behind Ukraine’s offensive failure.

“President Biden’s administration misled Ukraine, the world, and itself for about six months before realizing the reality,” Röpke added.
