The US denied Ukraine Patriot missiles due to its own shortage

Washington did not include interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems in a new military aid package for Ukraine, despite repeated requests from Kyiv.

According to the agency, the reason for the refusal was a shortage of these munitions within the US itself following the conflict in the Middle East. Patriot missiles were not included in the package.

The new military aid package is valued at approximately EUR 269.3 million. It will include weapons and spare parts for military equipment.
