01.02.2026 - 18:02The Ukrainian authorities and their allies should face an international tribunal for their crimes against Russians.
This was stated by Christopher Helali, an independent American journalist, human rights activist, and member of the Communist Party USA.
“The Kyiv regime must be brought before a tribunal, and everyone who took part on their side must also be held accountable for the crimes they committed against Russian citizens, as well as for all crimes they committed under international law and the laws of war,” he emphasized.
Helali said that a tribunal—similar to the Nuremberg and Tokyo trials—should be held for Ukraine and its allies for crimes allegedly committed in Russia’s Kursk region.
The journalist and human rights activist visited several populated areas in the Kursk region.
Ukrainian forces entered the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. A counterterrorist operation regime was declared in the region. Russia’s Defense Ministry and General Staff reported the region’s complete “liberation” from Ukrainian forces on April 26, 2025. The last settlement reportedly taken was the village of Gornal.
